A process, not a prescription.

Every project is different. These are the things we'll do together – not necessarily
in this order.

Discovery

Working out who you are and where you want to be

Before anything gets made, we need to understand your business, your audience and your ambitions. We'll work through this together — it's a conversation, not a questionnaire. What comes out of it shapes everything that follows.

Exploration

Looking outward before committing to a direction

This is where I work independently — researching your market, your competitors and the visual landscape around you. The goal isn't to copy what's out there, but to understand it well enough to do something different.

Sketches

Getting ideas out of heads and onto paper

Early brand thinking is rough by design. Loose marks, visual directions, things that might work and things that won't. You'll see these early explorations so we can find what resonates before committing to anything.

Refinements

Developing the direction into something resolved

With a direction agreed, the work gets more considered. Typography is chosen, colour is developed, the logic of the system starts to emerge. Nothing is precious at this stage — refinement is a process, not a destination.

First applications

Putting the brand into the real world

A brand only makes sense when you can see it working. We'll apply the identity to a select set of outputs — the ones that matter most to your business — to test how it performs and feels in context.

Testing and launch

Making sure it works before it goes out into the world

We review the brand across every context it will live in — digital, print, large, small. Any issues are resolved here. When everything holds up, we launch with confidence.

Brand guidelines

The rulebook that keeps everything consistent

A brand is only as strong as its application. Your guidelines document everything — the logic, the rules, the exceptions — so that anyone working with your brand in the future can do so with confidence and consistency.
